Play Party Rules
GENERAL
1. Everybody is an adult, so please try to resolve all issues in an adult manner. Unless someone is doing something illegal, extreme/unsafe, or repetitively causing problems, you are encouraged to work out any issues amongst yourselves, leave each other alone, or exit the premises. You don’t have to become friends with everybody, but you are required to show respect to each other both online and in-person. Blocking leaders is not allowed.
2. All scenes are “Play at your own risk.” It is up to the participants to research and understand the scenes in which they are participating and the risks that are involved. Recommended guidelines include SSC (Safe, Sane, and Consensual) and RACK (Risk-Aware Consensual Kink).
3. Consent is always required. This includes, but is not limited to, participating in scenes, touching other people, touching other people’s gear, photography (including people in the background), etc.
4. Do not give out the location of the facility without permission of the management. Do not give out specific details of anything that occurred inside, who attended an event, or other confidential information without permission of the management and everybody involved. “WHAT HAPPENS IN THE TEMPLE *STAYS* IN THE TEMPLE.”
5. Photos, videos, or other recordings are permitted only by special permission of management. Do not use your cell phone inside the play area.
6. Report all safety issues/incidents to management. This includes faulty/damaged equipment, unsafe scenes, injuries, or other health issues that occur.
7. Inspect all equipment/furniture before beginning a scene. If any issues or concerns are found, report them to management immediately so that they can make a determination if the equipment is safe to use.
8. Absolutely no drugs or alcohol allowed on the premises. Anybody who appears to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs will be escorted out, and no refunds will be granted. Just because it is legal does not make it acceptable in our facility. If you enter our facility smelling like weed or alcohol you will be dismissed immediately. If we suspect that you are high or under the influence of any type of mind altering substance you will be dismissed immediately. No refunds will be given. Please do not put us in situation of having to ask you to leave for this offense, which could result in a suspension from attending TAG parties.
9. Smoking and vaping are not allowed indoors in any part of the facility. They are only permitted at designated locations outside the building. Vaping of TOBACCO ONLY!
10. Do not exchange money on the premises for any reason other than to pay for memberships, refreshments, or other items that may be purchased at the reception desk. Exchanging money with other members is strictly prohibited.
11. Bring your own blankets, towels, etc. If available, these items may be purchased at the reception desk. Drop cloths may be available for no charge in areas where wax play is performed.
12. Recognized safewords are “Red” or “Safeword”. If either safeword is invoked, the scene must cease immediately. If the bottom is gagged and/or has their hands bound, a hand signal or drop item may be substituted with permission of management. Management must be notified prior to beginning a “consensual non-consent” scene to avoid an unintended stoppage of the scene.
13. Management reserves the right to intervene if scenes appear to be unsafe, disruptive to others, or if the bottom has invoked a safe word/signal and the top is continuing the scene.
14. Keep conversations to a reasonable volume in the play area so as not to disrupt ongoing scenes. Otherwise, you will be told to move the conversation to the social area.
15. Management is not responsible for lost or stolen items, including items placed in lockers.
16. If available, lockers may be used on a first-come, first-served basis. Management reserves the right to open any locker if a search is deemed necessary. You may bring your own lock. Locks are also available at the front desk.
17. Management is not responsible for any theft or damage to cars in the parking lot.
HYGIENE
1. Insertion of fingers or toys into a vagina or anus, oral sex (fellatio, cunnilingus, or analingus), vaginal sex, and anal sex are only permitted at designated parties. Simulated sex acts (e.g. — handjobs, footjobs, “titty fucking”, or assjobs), the penetration of a penis into a toy (e.g. – Fleshlight or masturbation sleeve), or other acts done with the intent of inducing ejaculation are also only permitted at designated parties. Otherwise, these activities are prohibited.
2. For parties that allow penetration via toys, all used items should be washed or placed immediately into a sealable bag after use, such as a gallon-sized Ziploc bag.
3. For penetration-positive parties, condoms, dental dams, or other items used to prevent pregnancy and/or transmission of STDs are the responsibility of the participants. Used condoms and dental dams should be placed immediately into a sealable bag, such as a Ziploc bag, before discarding into the trash.
4. Scat and watersports are not permitted. Needle play is allowed, but not blood play.
5. All bodily fluids or other messes must be cleaned up promptly once your scene is complete. Wipe down all scene equipment with the provided cleaning wipes and spray any foam tiles with the provided spray bottle. Drop cloths must be used for scenes where bodily fluids, paint, melted wax, or other messes are expected as part of the scene. Items contaminated by bodily fluids should be placed immediately into a sealable bag, such as a Ziploc bag, before discarding into the trash.
6. Impact play is not allowed over fresh blood.
7. All needles or other disposable sharps must be disposed of in the provided containers. Do not place them in the trash. If a locking sharps disposal container is provided, let management decide when to close it as they cannot be re-opened once closed.
8. People with exposed genitals or buttocks must use a towel or blanket when sitting on sofas, chairs, or other non-play furniture. Blankets and towels are not provided, and people must bring their own. If available, these items may be purchased at the reception desk.
9. Nudity is allowed in all parts of the facility, but members who are remaining in the social area to sit, converse, eat, etc., must cover up their genitals with clothing instead of just using a blanket or towel. Please do not loiter in the social area with exposed genitals.
BEHAVIOR/ETIQUETTE
1. Do not interrupt or interfere with scenes or aftercare in progress. This includes, but is not limited to, loud conversation, rude comments, prolonged staring or eye contact, non-consensual touching of gear, etc. WATCH WITH YOUR EYES, NOT WITH YOUR MOUTH!
2. Consider the play area when using implements that have a larger safety radius. For instance, don’t try to use a 20′ whip in an area where you only have 6′ of play space. Be aware of overhead obstacles such as lighting, ventilation ducts, or sprinkler systems.
3. Judgment must be used when determining how far away you should stand from a scene as each implement has its own safety radius. If you are accidentally hit by an implement used in a scene, then it is your own fault for being too close.
4. Do not harass others. Harassment may include, but is not limited to, non-consensual touching, puppy-dogging (unwanted following), purposely disrespecting someone’s protocol, purposely making offensive comments, body shaming, spreading false rumors, etc.
5. Some scenes may potentially make people uncomfortable or trigger negative emotions. If watching a scene causes issues, it is your responsibility to look away and/or move to another area.
6. If a scene looks unsafe or unreasonable, do not interfere directly. Ask management to check on it, and let them handle it. If you plan to participate in an edgier scene that will likely draw such attention (e.g. – “consensual non-consent”, artistic cutting, branding, etc.), you must alert management prior to beginning your scene so that they can verify that it will be within the rules and also so they don’t unnecessarily interrupt you mid-scene to check on the welfare of the participants.
7. Bound or restrained participants must not be left alone. Self-suspensions require at least one other person in the area to act as a spotter.
8. For scenes involving an open flame, keep a fire extinguisher nearby. Heads should be covered with a damp cloth when performing scenes where a flame could be in danger of contacting the participant’s hair. NOTE: Wide open fire play (e.g. — fire wands, fire flogging, etc.) is not allowed at our current facility. Wax play is allowed, and fire cupping may be done as long as management approves of the technique.
9. While some noise (e.g. – impacts, crying, screaming, laughter, etc.) is reasonable and expected during scenes, noise should not be excessive or sustained for an unreasonable length of time as it becomes disruptive to other scenes and/or could be alarming to other occupants of the building or even neighboring buildings. If necessary, participants will be told to either use a gag or end their scene.
10. Do not use equipment for longer than a reasonable amount of time (90 minutes for rope-intensive scenes, 60 minutes for other scenes) without approval from the management because it is unfair to others who may be waiting to use a particular piece of equipment or when all stations are in use. If a scene is running over its allotted time, management may tell participants to hurry their scene along. If you need a longer scene, please schedule private time with management instead.
CONSENT ISSUES OR OTHER COMPLAINTS
1. All complaints should be brought to the attention of management as soon as possible. After three months, management is under no obligation to hear a complaint as the likelihood of people accurately remembering what occurred is going to fade over time.
2. The severity of an incident will be taken into account when considering any consequences.
3. Repeat offenders (i.e. – people who show either a wanton disregard for the rules or an inability to grasp/follow the rules) will be dealt with more severely.
4. Management reserves the right to refuse entry and/or ban any individual who causes problems.
